4. Your will be taken to another page. On that page, click the click the Alternative Methods tab and select the radio button labeled as HTML file upload.

6. Upload the file to your website root directory, via FTP or cPanel.
7. Confirm successful upload by visiting http://www.example.com/googlef81da5d6bb57b660.html in your browser.
8. Go back to the Webmaster Tools page where you copied the meta tag and Click Verify. Your site will now get verified.
