Google Plus: What Is It And Should We Take Notice

What is Google Plus?

A new social networking platform from Google. Actually people do use Google+. Infact its rapidly becoming one of the largest Social Media networks. Much like Facebook (Competitor), but it allows people to share and discuss status updates, text, pics sharing, videos, links or location but with different groups of people.

Having a Google+ profile also allows you to claim your authorship markup. Google Authorship markup is a way for Google to show within the search results who’s the author of a specific piece of content. The result shows a picture of the author and displays a link to the author’s Google+ profile.

Features:

+Circles

Share what matters, with the people who matter most (Google) ‘Circles’ enable users to share different things with different groups of people. Users can create different ‘Circles’ for different groups for example, one for family, one for friends, one for work colleagues & more...

+Hangouts

One interesting feature that could really put Google+ ahead of Facebook is its “Hangouts”. Have a face-to-face conversation with people in your networks

+Sparks
Powerful Search is of course, Google's Crown Jewel. Google+ automatically gathers videos and articles that you would likely be interested in so you always have something to watch, read, and share

Google+ vs. Facebook
Unlike on Facebook, people do not have to agree to be friends with one another. They can receive someone’s updates without sharing their own. Facebook has also recognized people’s desire to share with smaller groups and last year introduced Groups to make that possible. It has been one of Facebook’s fastest-growing products with users creating 50 million groups in the first six months, according to Facebook.
